The Best Cheeseburger Sliders
These sliders are packed with flavor, juicy, and perfect for feeding a crowd. They can be easily customized with your favorite toppings.
Ingredients:
- For the Sliders:
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
- 1/2 medium yellow onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon ketchup
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 package (12 count) slider rolls
- 6 slices cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- Dill pickle slices (optional)
- Sesame seeds (optional)
- Tips:
- Ground beef with a higher fat content (80/20) will result in juicier sliders.
- Toasting the buns adds a nice layer of flavor and texture.
- For a cheesier slider, add a layer of cheese to both the top and bottom bun.
- Get creative with your toppings! Some ideas include grilled onions, sauteed mushrooms, jalapenos, or sriracha mayo.
Cooking Guide:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic until the beef is browned and the onion is softened. Drain any excess grease.
- Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, ketchup, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional minute, until heated through.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, ketchup, and Dijon mustard for the sauce.
- Split the slider rolls in half. Spread the bottom buns with the sauce.
- Top the buns with the beef mixture, then cheese.
- Place the sliders on a baking sheet and bake for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- (Optional) Brush the tops of the buns with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Broil for an additional minute or two, until the tops are golden brown.
- Top the sliders with pickles (if using) and serve immediately.
Tips:
- For a quicker option, you can brown the ground beef in a pan and then transfer it to a baking dish to bake with the cheese on top of the buns.
- Leftover sliders can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave until warmed through.
- These sliders can also be cooked on a grill. Preheat the grill to medium heat and cook the sliders for 3-4 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
