Stew Beef and Potatoes Recipes Instant Pot Recipe

Servings: 4-6

Ingredients:

* 2 pounds beef stew meat (such as chuck or round)
* 2 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
* 1 large onion, sliced
* 2 cloves garlic, minced
* 1 cup beef broth
* 1 cup red wine (optional)
* 1 tablespoon tomato paste
* 1 teaspoon dried thyme
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
* 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
* 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions:

1. Press the "Saute" button on the Instant Pot and melt the butter. Add the sliced onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
2. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute, until fragrant.
3. Add the beef stew meat and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the browned beef from the pot and set aside.
4. Add the beef broth, red wine (if using), tomato paste, thyme, salt, and pepper to the pot. Stir to combine.
