One-Pan Sausage, Potato, and Broccoli Dinner
This recipe is a breeze to throw together and requires minimal cleanup, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound sweet or spicy Italian sausage links, sliced into ½-inch pieces
- 1 pound Yukon gold potatoes, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Cooking Guide:
-
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Lightly grease a rimmed baking sheet.
-
In a large bowl, toss together olive oil, sausage, potatoes, broccoli florets, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Spread the mixture evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
-
Roast for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the sausage is cooked through, the potatoes are tender, and the broccoli is crisp-tender.
-
(Optional) Remove the pan from the oven and sprinkle the cheddar cheese on top. Return the pan to the oven for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
-
Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
Tips:
- For a shortcut, you can use pre-cubed potatoes.
- If your broccoli florets are large, cut them into bite-sized pieces for even cooking.
- Feel free to customize the seasonings to your liking. Try adding a pinch of red pepper flakes for a kick, or a sprinkle of Italian seasoning for a different flavor profile.
- Don’t crowd the pan! If your pan is too small, the vegetables will steam instead of roast, resulting in a soggy dish. Use two baking sheets if necessary.
- For extra crispy potatoes, toss them with a bit of cornstarch before adding them to the pan.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave until warmed through.
This one-pan dinner is a complete and satisfying meal that is sure to please the whole family. Enjoy!
