Crab And Seafood Dipping Sauce

Creamy Cajun Crab and Seafood Dipping Sauce

This decadent sauce is a perfect companion for crab legs, shrimp, lobster, or any other seafood feast. It’s rich, flavorful, with a touch of heat from Cajun seasoning.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning (adjust to your spice preference)
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Cooking Guide:

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, ketchup, melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, Cajun seasoning, dill, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper (if using).
  2. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  3. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Tips:

  • For a richer sauce, use full-fat mayonnaise and sour cream.
  • If you don’t have Cajun seasoning, you can substitute with a combination of paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and thyme.
  • For a zestier flavor, add a tablespoon of finely chopped fresh chives or parsley to the finished sauce.
  • This sauce can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • To make a thinner sauce for dipping, whisk in a tablespoon or two of milk or heavy cream.
  • Serve the sauce chilled with your favorite seafood.
