Recipe: Beef Tips Crock Pot Recipes Instant Pot
Servings: 4-6 people
Ingredients:
* 1 pound beef tips or sirloin, sliced into thin strips
* 1 onion, sliced
* 2 cloves of garlic, minced
* 1 cup beef broth
* 1/2 cup red wine (optional)
* 1 tablespoon tomato paste
* 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
* 1 teaspoon dried thyme
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
* 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
* 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions:
1. Press the "Saute" button on the Instant Pot and melt the butter. Add the sliced onion and cook until it's translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
2. Add the sliced beef tips to the Instant Pot and cook until browned, about 2-3 minutes.
3. Add the garlic, beef broth, red wine (if using), tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper to the Instant Pot. Stir well to combine.
4. Close the lid of the Instant Pot and set the valve to "Sealing". Press the "Meat/Stew" button or "Manual" mode and set the cooking time to 30 minutes at high pressure.
5. When the cooking time is up, allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes, then quick-release any remaining pressure.
6. Stir in the flour to thicken the sauce. If the sauce is too thin, simmer the mixture in the Instant Pot for an additional 5-10 minutes.
7. Serve the beef tips hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
