Classic Beef Stroganoff

This recipe creates a delicious and creamy beef stroganoff, perfect for a comforting dinner.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 pound mushrooms (cremini or button), sliced
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Cooking Guide:

  1. Prepare the Beef: Pat the beef slices dry with paper towels. Season them generously with salt and pepper.
