Beef Stew Tips Recipes Instant Pot

Servings: 6-8

Ingredients:

* 2 lbs beef stew meat (chuck or round)
* 2 medium-sized onions, chopped
* 3 cloves of garlic, minced
* 2 medium-sized carrots, peeled and chopped
* 2 medium-sized potatoes, peeled and chopped
* 1 cup beef broth
* 1 cup red wine (optional)
* 1 tsp dried thyme
* 1 tsp dried rosemary
* 1 bay leaf
* Salt and pepper, to taste
* 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
* 2 tbsp butter
* Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions:

1. Press the "Saute" button on the Instant Pot and melt the butter.
2. Add the chopped onions and cook until they're translucent, about 5 minutes.
3. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
4. Add the beef stew meat and cook until it's browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.
5. Add the chopped carrots and potatoes, beef broth, red wine (if using), thyme, rosemary, and bay leaf.
6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
7. Close the lid of the Instant Pot and make sure the valve is set to "Sealing".
8. Press the "Meat/Stew" button or "Manual" mode and set the cooking time to 30 minutes at high pressure.
9. Let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes, then quick-release any remaining pressure.
10. Remove the bay leaf and stir in the flour to thicken the stew.
11. Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.
12. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.
