Asian Beef Recipes Instant Pot Recipe
Ingredients:
* 2 lbs beef (such as flank steak or ribeye), sliced into thin strips
* 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
* 1 onion, sliced
* 2 cloves garlic, minced
* 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
* 1 cup beef broth
* 1/2 cup soy sauce
* 1/4 cup brown sugar
* 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
* 1 tablespoon cornstarch
* 1 teaspoon sesame oil
* Salt and pepper, to taste
* 1 cup snow peas, sliced
* 1 cup sliced mushrooms
* 2 green onions, thinly sliced
* 1/4 cup chopped scallions, for garnish
* Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1. Press the "Saute" button on the Instant Pot and heat the oil until shimmering.
2. Add the beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the beef from the pot and set aside.
3. Add the onion, garlic, and ginger to the pot and cook until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
4. Add the beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and cornstarch to the pot. Whisk until the cornstarch is dissolved.
5. Add the browned beef back to the pot and stir to coat with the sauce.
6. Add the snow peas, mushrooms, and green onions to the pot. Stir to combine.
7. Close the lid of the Instant Pot and make sure the valve is set to "Sealing".
8. Press the "Meat/Stew" button or "Manual" mode and set the cooking time to 10 minutes at high pressure.
9. When the cooking time is up, allow the pressure to release naturally for 5 minutes, then quick-release any remaining pressure.
10. Stir in the sesame oil and season with salt and pepper to taste.
11. Garnish with chopped scallions, sesame seeds, and serve over rice or noodles.
