Ingredients:
- 500g pasta of your choice
- 500g ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 cup of beef broth
- 1 cup of tomato sauce
- 1 cup of grated cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup of grated mozzarella cheese
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for cooking
Instructions:
- Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until it’s al dente, then set it aside.
- In a large pan, heat some olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook until it’s translucent.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute, until fragrant.
- Add the ground beef to the pan, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks, until it’s browned.
- Add the beef broth, tomato sauce, dried basil, and dried oregano to the pan. Stir to combine, then bring the mixture to a simmer.
- Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it has thickened slightly.
- Stir in the grated cheddar and mozzarella cheese until they’re melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Add the cooked pasta to the pan, tossing it in the cheese sauce until it’s well coated.
- Season the pasta with salt and pepper to taste, then serve it hot.
Tips:
To make this recipe even cheesier, you can add some grated parmesan cheese on top of the pasta before serving.
You can also customize the recipe to your taste by adding some diced bell peppers or mushrooms to the sauce.
If you want a creamier sauce, you can add some heavy cream or sour cream to the cheese sauce.
Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheated in the microwave or oven.
