Variations:
* Add 1-2 cloves of minced garlic to the pot with the thyme and paprika for an added depth of flavor.
* Substitute the red wine with beef broth or stock for a lighter flavor.
* Add 1-2 cups of sliced mushrooms, bell peppers, or other vegetables to the pot with the steak for added texture and flavor.
* Use a different type of steak, such as flank steak or skirt steak, for a different flavor and texture.
* Serve with your favorite sides, such as roasted Brussels sprouts, creamy mashed potatoes, or crispy roasted potatoes.
Tips and Tricks:
* Make sure to pat the steak dry with paper towels before cooking to ensure even browning.
* Don't overcrowd the pot, as this can lead to uneven cooking and a lack of browning.
* If you prefer a more tender steak, cook it for an additional 5-10 minutes.
* Let the steak rest for at least 10 minutes before slicing and serving to allow the juices to redistribute and the meat to relax.
