* 2 teaspoons baking powder

* 1/4 cup chopped dark chocolate chips (optional)

4. Stir in the vanilla extract, flour, and chopped walnuts. Fold in the chocolate chips (if using).
5. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared loaf pans.
6. Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of each loaf comes out clean.
7. Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack for 10-15 minutes. Then, transfer to a plate and let cool completely.
Cook Time: 55-60 minutes
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 70-75 minutes
Tips and Variations:
* For a mocha twist, add 1-2 teaspoons of instant coffee powder to the batter.
* Replace walnuts with pecans, hazelnuts, or almonds for a different flavor.
* Add 1/4 cup of chopped dried cranberries or cherries for a fruity surprise.
* Try using maple syrup instead of granulated sugar for a deeper flavor.
* Experiment with different spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, or cardamom to create unique flavor profiles.
Note: *To make a flax egg, mix 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed with 3 tablespoons water in a small bowl. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until thickened and gel-like before using in the recipe.
