Baked Cheesy Ranch Potatoes
This recipe is a simple and delicious side dish perfect for any occasion. Ranch dressing adds a creamy and flavorful twist to classic baked potatoes.
Ingredients:
- 3 pounds russet potatoes (or baby potatoes, halved)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons ranch seasoning mix
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese blend)
- Chopped fresh chives or parsley (optional, for garnish)
Cooking Guide:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Wash and cut the potatoes into evenly sized cubes or wedges.
- In a large bowl, toss the potatoes with olive oil, ranch seasoning mix, garlic powder (if using), and black pepper. Make sure the potatoes are evenly coated.
- Spread the potatoes in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping the potatoes halfway through, until they are golden brown and tender when pierced with a fork.
- Remove the baking sheet from the oven and sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top of the potatoes.
- Bake for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with chopped chives or parsley (optional) and serve immediately.
Tips:
- For a crispier texture, preheat your baking sheet in the oven for 10 minutes before adding the potatoes.
- If you don’t have ranch seasoning mix, you can make your own by combining dried buttermilk, onion powder, garlic powder, dried dill, chives, and paprika.
- Want to add a kick? Sprinkle some cayenne pepper or paprika with the ranch seasoning mix.
- For a richer flavor, use melted butter instead of olive oil.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave until warmed through.
