Perfect Creamy Alfredo Baked Salmon

This recipe combines tender, flaky salmon with a rich and flavorful alfredo sauce, all baked to gooey perfection.

Ingredients:

  • Salmon fillets (2, about 6 oz each)
  • Olive oil (1 tablespoon)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
  • Garlic cloves (2, minced)
  • Butter (3 tablespoons)
  • Heavy cream (1 ½ cups)
  • Parmesan cheese (1 cup, grated)
  • Dried Italian seasoning (1 teaspoon)
  • Lemon juice (1 tablespoon)
  • Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)

Cooking Guide:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear the salmon fillets for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown. Transfer the salmon to the prepared baking dish.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds, until fragrant.
  5. Whisk in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and lemon juice. Bring to a simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Pour the creamy alfredo sauce over the salmon fillets in the baking dish. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Tips:

  • For extra flavor, marinate the salmon fillets in a mixture of olive oil, lemon juice, and your favorite herbs for 15 minutes before searing.
  • Use a shallow baking dish to ensure the salmon cooks evenly and the sauce gets bubbly on top.
  • Don’t overcook the salmon. It’s best served slightly pink in the center for maximum tenderness.
  • If the alfredo sauce seems too thick, whisk in a splash of reserved pasta water (if using) or additional milk to thin it out.
  • To add a pop of color and extra nutrients, serve the baked salmon with roasted asparagus or broccoli.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in the oven or microwave until warmed through.
